Born and raised in North Beach, San Francisco first generation Vincent Svedise has been in the wholesale fish business for every sixty years. Vincent first started his wholesale business at Fisherman's Wharf. He then opened Vince's Shellfish Company, Inc. in 1973 at our present location in San Bruno.
Vince's Shellfish Company has since grown from 3,000 square feet to 25,000 square feet. Since Vincent's retirement his son Christopher has been running the company. Vince's daughters Anna, Rose, and Jeanette handle the office and accounting.
Vince's currently employs 35 employees, which includes daughter-in-law Donna, son-in-law Tim, and Chris's son Vince, nephews George, Michael and Tony are the third generation learning the wholesale fish business.
Vince's Shellfish operates with 14 refrigerated trucks, 4 large deep freezers, 2 refrigerated coolers, enabling us to be fully self-contained. We keep our fresh items at a constant 36-degree temperature. Our trucks service daily the San Francisco area, Peninsula, San Jose, East Bay, and North Bay. This insures our customers the earliest delivery possible.
